**Trainer:** Brad **Schedule:** Wednesdays, September 25th - October 16th, 7 PM - 7:45 PM **Duration:** 4 Weeks **Cost:** $100 ### Week 1: **Researching Different Breeds and Their Needs** **Date:** September 25th - **Overview of Dog Breeds:** Discuss the characteristics of various dog breeds, including size, temperament, and energy levels. - **Breed-Specific Needs:** Highlight the specific care and training needs for different breeds. - **Choosing the Right Breed:** Help participants evaluate which breeds might be the best fit for their lifestyle and living situation. - **Q&A Session:** Answer participants' questions about specific breeds and their needs. ### Week 2: **Understanding Training and Behavior** **Date:** October 2nd - **Basic Dog Behavior:** Introduction to dog behavior and body language. - **Training Principles:** Overview of positive reinforcement and other effective training methods. - **Common Behavioral Issues:** Discuss common behavioral challenges and how to address them. - **Hands-On Practice:** Participants practice basic training techniques with guidance from Brad. - **Q&A Session:** Open forum for participants to ask about training concerns. ### Week 3: **Finding Resources for Dog Care and Supplies** **Date:** October 9th - **Essential Supplies:** List and discuss essential supplies every dog owner needs (e.g., collars, leashes, toys, grooming tools). - **Nutrition and Health:** Overview of dog nutrition, feeding schedules, and health care needs. - **Veterinary Care:** How to choose a vet and what to expect during routine visits. - **Local Resources:** Provide a list of local resources for pet care, including pet stores, groomers, and veterinarians. - **Q&A Session:** Participants can ask about specific care needs or resources. ### Week 4: **Socialization** **Date:** October 16th - **Importance of Socialization:** Discuss why socialization is crucial for dogs and when to start. - **Safe Socialization Practices:** How to safely introduce your dog to new environments, people, and other animals. - **Group Socialization Exercise:** Participants bring their dogs (if applicable) for a supervised socialization session. - **Ongoing Socialization:** Tips for continuing socialization throughout a dog's life. - **Final Q&A and Wrap-Up:** Address any remaining questions and provide a course summary.

Cancellation Policy
​Class enrollments, private lessons, consults, and other services can be cancelled for a 50% refund when cancelled more than 48 hours after purchase. Class enrollments or private sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours prior to the start of the class or private lesson will only receive a credit on the client account for future classes and services. Seminars cancelled within 30 days of an event will only receive a 50% refund for the cost of the seminar. Our classes and seminars are often full and your enrollment keeps another client from filling that spot if you cannot attend. If you are not able to attend a class or seminar after you have already enrolled, please contact the Happy Tails Ranch office as soon as possible. Clients who no call/no show for classes, privates, events or seminars, or do not schedule purchased services within 48 hours  will only receive an account credit for the class, event, service, or seminar. If repeated no call/no shows occur (more than 2), clients will be required to pay an addition 50% of the class or service cost to reschedule.Â
